It must comprehensively list all publications, teaching appointments, presentations, and clinical rotations. However, the most critical information—like current certifications and licenses—must still reside on the first page.

Yes, ongoing research and pending publications should be included, but they must be clearly labeled as 'submitted for publication,' 'in press,' or 'in progress.' Ensure you list your specific role in the study, such as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator, to accurately represent your contribution. Avoid listing projects that are only in the conceptual phase to maintain academic integrity.

A practice website biography should be warm, patient-centric, and written in the first person, focusing on your philosophy of care and why you chose your specialty. In contrast, a credentialing or speaking biography should be written in the third person, focusing strictly on your credentials, training pedigree, and clinical achievements. Having both versions prepared ensures you are ready for both patient-facing marketing and formal professional introductions.

Non-medical work history should only be included if it directly demonstrates leadership, business acumen, or relevant skills like healthcare administration. If you have non-clinical experience prior to medical school, keep it extremely brief and position it at the end of your document. Focus the vast majority of your CV's real estate on your medical training, clinical practice, and academic achievements.
